Signs of good things to come...
The top clubs will be glorified in the pitch at the end of the all-star match. And not forgetting the winners of the individual awards. How does it feel like to be Manchester United when they lifted the Premiership trophy last season? We'll find out next Sunday...
The final round of matches of this year's Premier League will draw to a close at The Cage Indoor Football Stadium in Kallang next Sunday, 26 August 2007. There, we will witness the title-deciding matches as anyone of the top 4 teams have still got mathematical chances of clinching the championship.
How does playing on a blue pitch appeal to you?
The final 8 matches take place on this astro-turf pitch, complete with side cushions and line markings. This is the 1st indoor football stadium and our players will be one of the first to experience the adrenalin of playing on an artificial pitch.
Nestled in a quiet corner in Kallang near the soon-to-be torn down National Stadium, it will be hard for anybody to miss the 2 bright red buildings, housing the 4 pitches on offer.

There is an outdoor relaxation area where players can cool off after matches or do their warm-ups. The umbrella-like canopies provide ample shelter.
Before you enter the pitch, you'll notice this holding area where spectators can cheer for their teams. Spot the substitute's bench?
Each pitch has its own toilets so there is no need for a mad rush to the bushes! Haha...
The highlight of the afternoon is a celebrity all-star match. This will feature the best players of the tournament and some mystery players, to be revealed very soon...
And did we mention that cash vouchers will be given out to the winners of some games we are all familiar with? (Hint: about football)

Introducing.....
As the season hots up in the penultimate stage of the Premier League, we bring you a special report on some of the rising stars of the tournament so far. Not limiting to these 6 emerging footballers, this is the first of several special features we will be bringing you to attention.
Not only do these players possess exceptional ball skills, they also demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship and are display excellent examples for the rest of the League.
Muhd Fairuz Bin Abdullah
Squad No : 8
T-Net Club @ MacPherson
When you have ex-Singapore national player, Yahya Madon, label him as ‘a very promising player’, it has to prove something. Fairuz is an exceptional player who possesses sublime skills, great vision and wide array of passing as well as clinical finishing.
He likes to sit deep in his own half, playing as a sweeper. It is in this position where he can dictates the game by spraying passes to his team mates and makes the whole team click. When the situation requires, Fairuz is able to bring the ball from his own half, beat two to three defenders before firing into the back of the opposition net.
Always regarded as a star player by his team mates and opponents, his most endearing quality is in fact his attitude towards football. Fairuz is typically the player who prefers to let his feet do the talking rather than whining and complaining to the referee. Watch him play, and you can see he is enjoying the beautiful game.
Muhd Muadz Bin Alias
Squad No : 4
T-Net Club @ Sembawang
He may be the winner of T-Net Club Sports Fiesta 2006 Converse Idol, but Muadz is no mere pin-up boy. Always the unsung hero of the team, he has good technique and packs a powerful shot. Usually operates as the last line of defence in front of his keeper, he is no softie when it comes to tough tackles despite his lightweight build.
A fine player who puts his team before himself, he often runs tirelessly, making challenges and cuts off opposition passes. In "fast and furious" nature of street soccer, he is the prime example of turning defence into attack.
However, his attacking abilities cannot be ignored as well. Has the skill to get past players and nick a couple of goals. Leave him alone with the ball on his feet at your own peril.
Muhd Shahrul Izlan Bin Roslan
Squad No : 9
T-Net Club @ Bukit Merah
In a talent-studded squad like Bukit Merah, it is hard to find a player who really stands out from the rest. Nonetheless, Muhd Shahrul is definitely one of the best players from the trophy laden Bukit Merah Street Soccer team.
The first impression one might get from him is that he resembles brazilian superstar, Ronaldo. In fact, he plays like a local version of him as well. His explosive pace and strength makes him a tough nut to crack. More importantly, he is blessed with great technique and goal-scoring instinct. Definitely one of the players to watch out for.
Abdul Munaf Bin Mohd Zubair
Squad No : 12
T-Net Club @ Bedok
In Singapore, the worst player in a team is usually banished as the keeper by their team mates. By not in the case of Bedok’s Abdul Munaf. Not only is he the captain of the team, but he's also the inspirational figure for them. It is always encouraging when players relish the role of being the man between the posts; and with lots of pride.
The keeper from T-Net Club @ Bedok is arguably the league's safest pair of hands with consistent performances week-in week-out. Tall and lanky, his long limbs certainly gives him an edge as a goalkeeper. As the last line of defence, his reliability certainly eases loads of pressure off his defenders.
Abdul Munaf possessed all the attributes needed for a good goalie. Commanding presence in his own penalty area, alertness and a good shot-stopper, it is no wonder he so often frustrates opposition strikers.
Karthigesan S/O Vijayakumar
Squad No : 3
T-Net Club @ Geylang West
Small and diminutive, Kathigesan has been one of the most impressive players in the league.
Emerging from the famed ‘Genarasi’ football team, he is also a familiar figure in the National Street Soccer League (NSSL).
Albeit his small frame, Kathigesan has wonderful balance, which enables him to withstand challenges from bigger opponents. He is lightning-quick and possesses plenty of tricks up his sleeves. Constantly aware of his surroundings, he can carve out goal scoring chances by exploiting any tight openings left by his opponents.
With that many qualities, he is a real nightmare for his marker, which so far none has successfully kept him in their pockets throughout the tournament.
Shaiful Bakri Bin Ab Gaffar
Squad No : 7
T-Net Club @ Taman Jurong
This tall, elegant playmaker has certainly been one of the stars of the tournament, despite average performances from his team.
With good technique and passing abilities, he is the fulcrum of his team. When he plays well, the team plays well. Blessed with natural skills and vision, he sets up goal scoring opportunities for his team-mates. Not just assists, he will not shun away from goal scoring chances for himself.
More gems to uncover soon.....
